Establishment of the TEIKEI NGO
The next step for TEIKEI is the establishment of a Europe-wide NGO that will manage the non-profit aspects of the network. This organization will serve as a strong and independent representative for partners and farmers, providing them with sustainable support and representation. The location of the NGO’s headquarters is yet to be determined, but Switzerland or Norway are likely options.
The goal of the TEIKEI NGO is to create a platform where the principles of solidarity-based agriculture and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) are not only applied but also further developed. It will provide farmers with direct access to resources, training, and a robust network, ensuring long-term financial and social security.
This NGO will work across Europe to foster the connection between various actors, develop educational programs, and build the structures necessary for sustainable agriculture in different European countries. A key focus will be supporting projects that promote resilient, ecological, and socially just agriculture both regionally and internationally.
A crucial aspect of the NGO will also be offering independent advice and legal support for farmers and partners locally. Additionally, it will play a key role in developing new markets and sustainable supply chains, helping to achieve TEIKEI’s goals and objectives.
