At TEIKEI, we believe that holistic and sustainable food should be affordable for everyone. We aim to offer an alternative to the current trend, where natural, original products in “organic quality” are often very expensive. In small-scale, ecological farming, there is no pressure to finance expensive machinery, and costly fertilization methods and the use of pesticides are avoided. These sustainable conditions, combined with direct distribution, allow us to price products based on their true value. This means many products can be offered at a lower price. However, in some cases, prices may rise, especially when government subsidies are removed and products are grown using environmentally friendly methods.
TEIKEI connects producers directly with consumers. Through our well-networked trade routes and the use of modern digital communication tools, particularly the internet, we can facilitate this direct exchange between producers and consumers.
Traditional intermediaries often break the valuable relationships between producers and consumers. This leads to product anonymity and the risk of exploitation, which often comes at the expense of both consumers and the environment. At the same time, the demand for high-quality, healthy food is growing, as seen with the organic trend in supermarkets.
TEIKEI restores these important relationships. Our community is actively committed to creating the necessary capacities to foster and expand trust and close connections between producers and consumers.
